Best Natural Diabetes Cures and Live Again!

Can diabetes really be cured naturally? There are certainly many people who have asked this question before. If you have difficulties with high blood sugar control or even been diagnosed with some form of diabetes, then it is imperative that you should begin doing something positive about your progressive condition. Always make sure with your doctor before making any significant changes in your lifestyle or considering any new medications or supplements for your condition. With that being said, following are some simple methods to lower your blood sugar levels NATURALLY and even could be found to be natural diabetes cures.

Simple Methods to Lower Blood Sugar Levels Naturally

Exercise on a regular basis can definitely aid in losing weight. Proper exercise can also help your muscles utilize the blood sugar for energy and muscle contraction. Regular exercise can increase insulin sensitivity, which is the ability of your cells to use all the available sugar in your bloodstream. Excellent forms of exercise include brisk walking, jogging, biking, dancing, hiking, and weight lifting.

Controlling stress levels can and do affect your blood sugar levels. During stress, hormones such as glucagon and cortisol are secreted. These particular hormones cause blood sugar levels to increase. Some examples of “stress-relievers” include exercising, meditation, and yoga.

Getting quality sleep not only refreshes you, it is very necessary in promoting good health. Poor sleeping habits and the lack of quality sleep can affect your blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity. Increase in appetite and weight gain can be potential negative results of not getting sufficient quality sleep. Getting enough proper sleep is, of course, about quality AND quantity every night.

Carbohydrates are very important and crucial for a healthy diet. Carbohydrates, or carbs, are the fibers, starches, and sugars found in vegetables, fruits, grains, and milk products. Carbs provide the “fuel” for the central nervous system and the necessary energy for muscles. “Carbohydrates are also important for brain function,” states Paige Smathers, a Utah-based registered dietitian. But when a person consumes “too many carbs” or has difficulties with insulin function, the process usually will end up failing and blood glucose levels will increase. Studies have proven that planning your meals appropriately may help cure diabetes naturally by controlling blood sugar levels in the long run.

Increasing your fiber intake significantly slows down carb digestion and sugar absorption. There are two types of fiber that you eat may play a major role in curing diabetes naturally. Insoluble fiber is probably better known as “roughage”, which is found in nuts, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables that do not dissolve in water. The stomach does not break down insoluble fiber and thus, it is not absorbed in the bloodstream. Soluble fiber specifically has proven to decrease blood sugar levels. Soluble fiber dissolves in water to form a gel-like substance, which can lower glucose levels and even help in lowering cholesterol. Soluble fiber foods include oats, peas, beans, apples, carrots, barley, and citrus fruits.

For women, the suggested daily intake of fiber is approximately 25 grams. For men, the suggested daily intake of fiber is approximately 38 grams. These figures equate to about 14 grams for every 1,000 calories. So, proper amounts of fiber can aid in curing diabetes naturally by significantly controlling blood sugar levels in the long run. Keeping in mind that soluble dietary fiber is essentially the most effective.

Remaining hydrated can definitely help in keeping a person’s blood sugar levels within healthy limits. Drinking plenty of water, as opposed to soda and other sweetened drinks, helps the kidneys flush away any excess blood sugar through the urine. Drinking plenty of water regularly rehydrates the blood, decreases blood sugar levels significantly, and reduces the risk of diabetes naturally.

A Couple of Items to “Experiment”

Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar possesses many significant benefits for a person’s health. Apple Cider Vinegar promotes lower fasting blood sugar levels, which are probably done by lowering the production by the liver or raising its use by the cells. Apple Cider Vinegar improves the insulin sensitivity, too.

There are a couple of ways to utilize Apple Cider Vinegar in your diet: 1) add Apple Cider Vinegar to salad dressings, and 2) mix 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in 8 ounces of water. But it is recommended to check first with your doctor before adding Apple Cider Vinegar to your diet if your are already taking any medications to lower blood sugar.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is a spice that is manufactured from the inner bark of trees. Cinnamon has been used as a spice and flavorant throughout many centuries of history, going back as far as Ancient Egypt. But cinnamon can also decrease blood sugar levels and does have a very powerful anti-diabetic effect that many people are not aware of. Cinnamon has been proven to significantly increase the sensitivity to the hormone insulin. So, cinnamon can dramatically lower insulin resistance, allowing the important hormone insulin to perform its duty. Cinnamon has been shown to lower in fasting blood sugar levels, possessing a very potent anti-diabetic effect at one to six grams or 1/2 to 2 teaspoons per day.

Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral Neuropathy is the damage done to the peripheral nerves, the motor and sensory nerves that connect the brain and the spinal cord. This is more commonly called the central nervous system to the entire human body. Peripheral Neuropathy can have a variety of causes, including diabetes.

Many people suffering from Peripheral Neuropathy usually discover that lifestyle changes can improve their symptoms. If you have a condition linked to Peripheral Neuropathy, you should learn about methods to lower the risk. A medical doctor can definitely provide this valuable information. But yes, Peripheral Neuropathy can be very painful and frustrating, and in some cases, difficult to treat. Prevention is, therefore, the key for “naturally curing” this condition.

Cure, Remedy, Cure, Remedy…

Some of the methods and foods mentioned may not necessarily cure diabetes, but they will definitely and positively provide means for the body to function better overall. Also, people with diabetes or any other chronic condition, are suffering more from depression and anxiety. Mind-body methods to aid in naturally curing diabetes can help with the many concerns of diabetes. But, as stated before, prevention seems to be key for natural diabetes cures.

    Hi Kent,

Thank you for the reply, Osei.  About cinnamon, I need to let you know one thing.  Two different varieties of cinnamon are sold in the U.S.:  Ceylon and Cassia.  Ceylon cinnamon is typically more expensive and less common than Cassia cinnamon.  Ceylon cinnamon has been proven not only to contain more antioxidants than Cassia cinnamon, it may provide more health benefits.  However, one thing you need to be aware of with Cassia cinnamon is that it is high in a potentially harmful substance called coumarin.  For example, there have been several studies performed in rats that showed coumarin to be toxic to the liver.  Of course, I am talking about over-abundant quantities of coumarin.  So you have to be careful with Cassia cinnamon.  Once again, Osei, thank you for your reply.

    All the best to you,

    Kent

Hello, Ron.  Yes, some intermittent fasting can be beneficial in managing blood sugar levels.  The fasting I was hinting around about (I probably should have eluded to this more in my post) is called 5:2 diet.  This diet (fasting) involves eating for 5 days non-consecutively on a normal basis.  The other 2 days (non-consecutive) would involve only 500 to 600 calories per day.  Of course, intermittent fasting methods do vary and possibly can compliment any diabetes cure.  Hope this helps with your question.

These are wonderful tips you got here. But I do have a question. I read from an article somewhere that even fasting (particularly intermittent fasting) can help in managing blood sugar levels, and some even go as far as claiming that it can cure diabetes. However, some doctors advise small frequent meals, what’s your take on this?
